They said (in writing) they

I stepped in a hole at a restaurant parking lot in Effingham Il, injuring my hand. They agreed in writing to pay my medical bills associated with the injury. I just received a bill from the doctor that they didn't pay it & now it's in collection. The accident was June 2005. What do I do now?

South Holland, Il.

If it is only a bill you are concerned about, you can file a small claims court, like the People's Court on T.V.   In order to prevail, you would have to demonstrate one of two things:

1) that defendant knew or should have known of the hole in question and it was a place where customers were supposed or reasonably could be forseen to walk  OR

2)  that Defendant has MPC medical payment coverage.   It is insurance coverage that pays medical bills.
