Craig Shapiro
Craig M. Shapiro earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Northern Illinois University in 2000 with an emphasis in philosophy and psychology. He went on to graduate from the Chicago-Kent College of Law in Chicago in 2004 where he earned the CALI Award for Excellence in the study of trial advocacy, worked for Chicago-Kent’s employment discrimination and civil rights legal clinics, and was a certified mediator for the Center for Conflict Resolution.
Craig has worked at Horwitz, Horwitz & Associates since his law school days when he was a law clerk for O. Randolph Bragg, one of the firm’s most respected attorneys of Consumer Law.
Continuing his law practice in the area of consumer protection, Craig concentrates on litigation against debt collectors who have violated the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and is currently litigating federal cases in California, Illinois, Indiana, Nebraska, Utah, and Virginia.
Craig is admitted to the bars of the Supreme Court of Illinois, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois, Central District of Illinois, and Northern District of Indiana.
Outside of the office, Craig enjoys spending time with his wife and his son, who has his first birthday coming up in November. He also enjoys attending home games for the Cubs and as many live music concerts as possible.
