Mundelein Cyclist Critically Injured In Libertyville Car Accident By West Rockland Road and Des Plaines River Pedestrian Trail
LIBERTYVILLE, ILLINOIS (November 13, 2024) – A 33-year-old bicyclist was seriously injured in a Libertyville car accident by West Rockland Road and Des Plaines River pedestrian trail.
Lake County officials are saying that the collision took place on Saturday. A cyclist was attempting to cross the road when he was hit by a westbound Toyota Prius.
The force of the impact caused the cyclist to hit the windshield and be thrown to the ground. Paramedics were called to the scene in order to help the victim.
The driver was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. A full investigation remains ongoing at this time.
