KTM North America Issues Recall for GASGAS and Husqvarna Off-Road Motorcycles Due to Crash Hazard

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS (August 22, 2026) – A recall has been issued for the GASGAS and Husqvarna Off-Road Motorcycles because they pose a major risk of injury or death to consumers.

The recall notice was issued on August 20, 2026. Roughly 21,000 units were sold prior to the recall.

According to the notice by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the rear brake calipers can crack or break unexpectedly. This can reduce the effectiveness of the brake system and potentially cause a major collision.

No injuries have been reported at this time. The GASGAS and Husqvarna Off-Road Motorcycles were originally manufactured in Austria.
