Since 1924, the Horwitz family of distinguished trial attorneys has continued a tradition begun by grandfather Jacob W. Horwitz, and then his son Andrew J. Horwitz, representing individuals against corporate wrongdoers and insurance companies. Clifford and Mitchell Horwitz are third generation trial lawyers who continue that tradition. Clifford Horwitz has won innumerable cases over the past quarter century, with many of his victories representing record-setting jury verdicts.
Mitchell Horwitz leads the workers’ compensation team and was recently named one of the Top 10 Workers Compensation Lawyers in Illinois in a survey of his peers conducted by Leading Lawyers. Their team of experienced trial attorneys continue to expand their firm’s legacy of successful litigation that few firms can claim.
In a recent example of their firm’s record of excellence, Clifford Horwitz, Jay Luchsinger and Michael Carter won another record-settingjury verdict. According to the Illinois Jury Verdict Reporter, they won the largest jury verdict in Illinois history for an individual, an injured iron worker who fell and was left paralyzed from a jobsite accident. In reporting the $64 million verdict, the American Association of Justice branded Clifford, Jay and Michael as “masters in the profession.”
