Medical King Bed Assist Rail Adult Bed Rails Recalled Over Entrapment Hazard

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS (November 20, 2024) – Medical King Bed Assist Rail adult bed rails were recalled because they can pose a serious injury hazard for users.

The recall was issued on November 14, 2024. Around 222,000 units were sold.

According to the recall notice by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, users can become entrapped within the bed rails and the side of the mattress. If users do become entrapped, this can pose a serious risk of death due to asphyxiation.

Consumers could purchase the recalled Medical King Bed Assist Rails through Amazon, Walmart, Target Plus, eBay, and numerous other online retailers.

In November 2023, a resident of South Carolina died after becoming trapped between the bed rail and his mattress.
