Six Injured In Humboldt Park, Chicago Apartment Fire

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS (November 23, 2024) – At least six people were hospitalized in a Humboldt Park, Chicago apartment fire on the 4300 block of West Thomas Street.

Cook County officials are saying that the incident took place around 2:00 a.m. on Friday. The fire started in the basement of the apartment complex.

Firefighters were called to the scene in order to help all of the victims and put out the fire. All of the victims were in their 70s and transported to Stroger and St. Mary hospitals.

Two people were able to self-evacuate. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
