Kevin’s devotion to defending injured workers arose just weeks after graduating college, when he landed an internship at a workers’ compensation firm. There, he witnessed the struggles that many workers face after reporting a workplace injury: figuring out how to pay bills and dealing with uncooperative employers. In this job Kevin realized his passion and purpose lay in defending injured workers.
Throughout law school, Kevin worked assisting attorneys and injured workers as a law clerk, where he gained experience in all aspects of a workers’ compensation claim on both sides of litigation.
Kevin is extremely passionate about representing our clients and believes in the indisputable role of respect and communication between client and counsel.

Kevin joined Horwitz, Horwitz & Associates in 2022 and devotes his entire legal practice to representing injured workers. (Read: What injuries are covered under workers’ compensation in Illinois?; What do I do if my employer refuses to pay my bill?)
Kevin was born and raised on the south side of Chicago. He attended the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, where he earned a degree in Environmental Science and Management. Shortly after he began volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and St. Baldrick’s Foundation, where he assisted in building homes and enjoyed forming lifelong friendships with recipients.
Following law school, Kevin initially defended insurance companies in workers’ compensation claims, a role which has granted him greater insight on how insurance companies evaluate cases. He now leverages that knowledge and experience to achieve the best outcome for his injured clients.
Kevin lives in Chicago with his wife, Claire. In his free time Kevin enjoys reading, music and spending time with his niece and nephews.
