Workplace Death: Recovery of $7.5 million for union carpenter’s estate for a fatal fall at construction site


November 6, 2024. Chicago Personal Injury attorneys lead by Clifford Horwitz of Horwitz, Horwitz & Associates recovered $7,500,000.00dollars for the estate of union carpenter. The carpenter fell to his death from the ceiling on a construction site.   The carpenter was erecting the ceiling from which he fell. The defendant blamed plaintiff for using a dolly as a support and rolling himself off of an unprotected moving edge and that he caused his own death by violating various safety rules.  Defendant claimed there was no way they could know this would happen.  Assisting with the successful outcome of this lawsuit were Horwitz Partner’s Jay Luchsinger and David Starshak.
