CHICAGO, ILLINOIS (August 19, 2025) – Drinkmate has recalled its 1-Liter Carbonation Bottles because they can suddenly explode and seriously injure users.

The recall was issued on August 14, 2025. Roughly 106,200 units were sold prior to the recall.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, Drinkmate has received 8 reports of the bottles exploding as they were being used. Consumers may sustain serious impact and laceration injuries.

The Drinkmate 1-Liter Carbonation Bottles were sold at numerous online retailers, including Walmart, Amazon, and Target online stores.
