CHICAGO, ILLINOIS (February 25, 2026)—A recall was issued for the Mindbodygreen Ultimate Multivitamin+ Dietary Supplement Bottles due to injury risk.

The recall was issued on January 29, 2026. Roughly 148,000 units were sold prior to the recall.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the Mindbodygreen Ultimate Multivitamin+ Dietary Supplement Bottles violate mandatory standards for child-resistant packaging.

No injuries have been reported at this time. The bottles were manufactured in the United States.

Liability for Child Poisoning Accidents

Maximum poisoning remains a major cause of preventable injury and death for children. According to the Absentee Shawnee Tribal Health System, “Each year, more than 500,000 children under the age of five experience a potential poisoning related to medications. More than 60,000 children are treated in emergency departments due to accidental unsupervised ingestions each year.” Companies that make health supplements should take several measures to prevent accidental poisonings.

  • Companies should strictly comply with all FDA guidelines.
  • Companies must ensure bottles are in child-resistant packaging.
  • Companies should use accurate dosing controls.
  • Companies should have a dedicated production line when they’re producing high-risk substances.

Companies that create health products and other medications have a legal obligation to ensure that those products are reasonably safe. This extends to the companies that create the bottles those products are housed within. If a bottle lacks child-resistant packaging, this could form the basis of a product liability claim. A product could also be defective if it fails to warn consumers about non-obvious dangers.

Steps to Take After Child Poisoning Accidents

It can be hard to know where to begin after your child has been injured in an accidental poisoning. Many parents will blame themselves for these incidents. But the fact of the matter is that many of these incidents are the inevitable consequence of companies that make poor design decisions. Several measures should be taken after any child is accidentally poisoned by a consumer product.

  • Parents should take their children to the hospital as early as possible.
  • Parents should collect all medical records related to the accident.
  • It should be determined if the affected product was on any recall lists.
  • Parents should carefully consider their legal options with an experienced product liability attorney.

Child poisonings are often highly preventable. In many situations, they involve companies that choose to prioritize their own profits over the safety of children. They may ignore key safety regulations. Unfortunately, the same companies will virtually never admit responsibility if any consumer is injured by their product. The family of any child injured by a consumer product is able to seek some measure of accountability through a civil claim.
