Mitchell W. Horwitz Presents at the Illinois State Apprenticeship Conference
Horwitz Horwitz and Associates - Work Compensation - May 19, 2016
The Illinois State Apprenticeship Conference wrapped up last week. In attendance were numerous union locals and their members. Mitchell W. Horwitz was asked to speak at the conference on the topic of workplace injuries due to his extensive knowledge on injured workers’ rights and Illinois workers’ compensation laws.
Unfortunately, the trades account for a large percentage of work-related injuries because of the dangerous nature of the work compared to other fields. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the construction industry accounts for over 20% of total work related injuries. The transportation industry follows in second, accounting for over 16% of total work-related injuries. At the conference, Mitch covered numerous topics such as work accidents, work-related injuries, and workers’ compensation in Illinois to help those in attendance better serve their members, their families, and themselves.
Mitch frequently speaks to labor, civic and professional organizations, including unions representing carpenters, ironworkers, teamsters, laborers, plumbers and pipefitters, sprinklerfitters, tilesetters, steelworkers, electricians, and many more! He enjoys answering questions about workplace injuries that many people find extremely confusing.
It is an honor to serve the members of organized labor, and we at Horwitz, Horwitz & Associates are proud to be a trusted resource for the labor community.
