ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, ILLINOIS (June 29, 2022) – Multiple people were injured after an Arlington Heights collision between a semi-truck and box truck on Route 53.

Cook County police officials are saying that the accident took place around 7:46 a.m. on Friday. For undetermined reasons, a box truck and a semi-truck collided in the roadway.

The semi-truck jackknifed in the roadway and the box truck involved in the crash rolled onto its side. Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene of the collision in order to help all of the victims.

A full investigation into the collision remains ongoing at this time.
