Investigation Underway After Lena Collision Between Semi-Truck and Dump Truck By The Intersection of US Route 20 and Il Route 73
LENA, ILLINOIS (July 24, 2024) – At least two people were hospitalized in a car accident involving a dump truck and semi-truck by US Route 20 and Illinois Route 73.
Stephenson County officials are saying that the collision took place around 12:41 p.m. on Monday. A dump truck and a semi-truck were involved in a collision under uncertain conditions.
The force of the impact caused both vehicles to roll onto their sides. Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene of the collision in order to help the victims.
Two people were taken to the hospital in order to receive treatments. A full investigation remains ongoing at this time.
