A-R joined Horwitz Horwitz and Associates in 2022. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola New Orleans College of Law, where he was an active member of the Black Law Students Association, serving as both Treasurer and Historian.

Upon earning his J.D., A-R worked as a law clerk for a local personal injury firm in New Orleans, where he helped manage a 400-claimant class action tort claim involving birth defects and cancer. Here he worked closely with a licensed toxicologist, affected clients, and the families of the decedents. These experiences solidified A-R’s resolve to help injured people and their families, no matter how large the case.

Before attending law school, A-R graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. He worked in the Georgia State Capitol as a legislative intern and was later hired as a lobbyist.

Primary Practice Focus

A-R’s most recent experience includes defending workers with post-traumatic stress disorder and other related mental injuries as well as injured workers employed with Cook County and the City of Chicago.

In-Depth Look

A-R’s time in the Georgia State Capitol has proven conducive to his career as a defender of workers’ rights. Thanks to frequent dealings with state senators and representatives, A-R gained unique firsthand experience in advocating for his clients through support or opposition at committee hearings discussing particular legislation. He has maintained close professional relationships with some of the most important individuals in state and local government.

A-R is a member of the Illinois Bar and is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Illinois and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois. He is an active member of the Workers’ Compensation Law Association and Chicago Bar Association.

A-R was awarded the Political Science & International Affairs Outstanding Alumni Award by Kennesaw State University and was nominated for the Outstanding Student Award by the Department of Political Science & International Affairs.  He served as one of Kennesaw State’s Political Science Ambassadors and was a member of the Nigerian Students Association.

In his free time, A-R is an amateur photographer and model.  He enjoys watching movies, playing billiards and watching Premier League soccer.
