Chicago Injury Attorney, Thomas A. Kelliher, Argues Before the Illinois Supreme Court

On May 11, 2016, Thomas A. Kelliher, an injury attorney from Horwitz, Horwitz & Associates argued on behalf of plaintiff appellant, Ronald Bayer, before the Illinois Supreme Court.

The case, Ronald Bayer v. Panduit Corporation brought an issue before the Illinois Supreme Court: whether the 3rd party defendant in the matter, Area Erectors, owes an attorney fee for the savings it benefited from for being relieved of paying future medical expenses pursuant to the Workers’ Compensation Act of Illinois as result of the verdict and settlement in the case.
A decision by the Illinois Supreme Court most likely will be made near the end of July.
