Kidisle Coffeemakers Recalled Over Burn Hazard Risk
Product Recalls - June 27, 2026
Recall Issued for Kidisle Coffeemakers Due to Risk of Serious Injury From Burn Hazard
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS (June 27, 2026) – A recall has been issued for the Kidisle Coffeemakers because they can pose a risk of serious injury to consumers.
The recall was issued on June 11, 2026. Roughly 11,600 units were sold prior to the recall.
According to the recall notice by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the coffee makers can become clogged during use. This could cause hot liquid to build up and be released unexpectedly.
Users could become seriously burned by any released steam. The manufacturer has received at least 107 reports of the Kidisle Coffeemakers releasing hot liquid or steam in an unexpected manner.
At least 27 people have been injured by the Kidisle Coffeemakers. The products were originally manufactured in China.
Consumers may purchase them from Amazon, Walmart, or eBay.
Liability for Injuries Caused by Defective Coffee Makers
Companies that make coffee makers and other consumer products must design their products in such a way that they are not likely to cause injury. If a coffee maker has some type of defect that leads to a consumer being injured, this could form the basis of a product liability claim. Product liability claims asserting negligence will typically assert the product in question is defective in one of the following ways.
-
Design: A large number of product liability claims are based on the concept that the product in question had design defects. Design defects are inherent to the way a product exists.
-
Manufacturing: It is also possible that a product could incur defects during the creation of that product. These are commonly referred to as manufacturing defects.
-
Marketing: In the event that a consumer product fails to warn consumers about latent dangers, this could be construed as a marketing defect.
Coffee makers and other products that make use of hot water can be inherently dangerous. Manufacturers must take reasonable measures to mitigate these hazards. One of the things that courts will look at is what safety precautions similar devices have. If, for example, other coffee makers have heat release valves that can prevent the accumulation and release of steam, this could show that products that lack this device were defective.
Steps to Take After Being Injured by Consumer Products
Millions of people are injured every year by ordinary consumer products. According to the National Safety Council, “In 2024, 15.1 million people were treated in emergency departments for injuries resulting from consumer products. Most of the injuries involve everyday products often assumed to be safe.” It is important that victims of faulty consumer products take certain measures to protect their health and legal rights.
-
Medical Records: All of the medical records related to injuries should be collected and preserved.
-
Recall Notice: It should be determined if the products involved in the injury were on any recall notice.
-
Evidence Preservation: The product involved in the injury should be stored in a secure location so that it can be examined for potential defects.
-
Legal Review: Accident victims should strongly consider pursuing a legal claim after seeking the guidance of a product liability attorney.
Consumers should not have to worry about being seriously injured or killed by the ordinary products that they purchased. Unfortunately, dangerous consumer products continue to be one of the major causes of preventable injury and death in the United States. Victims of defective consumer products are able to pursue damages through a personal injury claim. These can help cover lost wages, medical bills, and pain and suffering.
Getting Legal Help for Injuries Caused by Consumer Products
