Semi-Truck Drove Off Bridge on Route 38 in Decatur, Leaving Two People Injured
DECATUR, ILLINOIS (February 23, 2025) – Two people were hospitalized in a Decatur collision along Interstate 72 and Route 48.
Macon County officials are saying that the incident took place around 12:45 a.m. on Friday. A semi-truck was traveling down Interstate 72 when the driver lost control.
They ended up driving off the bridge and landing onto Route 48 below. Paramedics were called to the scene in order to help all of the victims.
The passenger and driver of the truck were both taken to the hospital in order to receive care. A full investigation into the cause of the Decatur semi-truck accident remains ongoing at this time.
