Woman Injured In Fulton County Car Accident At Home By Maple Street and Walnut Street

FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS (April 16, 2024) – A woman was critically injured after an allegedly intoxicated driver drove into a Fulton County home on Maple Street and Walnut Street.

Fulton County officials are saying that the incident took place around 3:07 a.m. on Sunday. A man drove into a residence and hit a woman in the process.

The female bystander was so critically injured by the crash that she almost suffered a leg amputation. Paramedics and police were called to the scene in order to help the victim.

The woman was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. Police arrested the man involved in the collision on suspicion of DUI, aggravated battery, and leaving the scene of the collision.

A full investigation remains ongoing at this time.
